America has long held the notion that it is a class-less society. Yet, growing inequality and diminished social mobility challenges that notion. In this event, we will discuss the current implications of class in America within the historical context. Join us for a brief workshop before Nancy Isenberg discusses her latest book White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America. A light dinner will be served. All participants receive classroom materials and a copy of Dr. Isenberg’s book (which they can get autographed by the author!).

Where: FSCJ Wilson Center for the Arts, Lakeside Room, 11901 Beach Blvd

When: Tuesday, March 27 from 4 p.m.7 p.m.

Schedule

4PM     Workshop

5PM     Reception

6PM     Keynote address

NOTE: The keynote address and reception are open to the public. The workshop from 4-5 is by reservation only.
